Position Overview

At Paysys Global, we are building an advisory company that works closely with our clients to create more inclusive, integrated digital financial systems around the world. We are a small team with big ambitions and are now looking for an analyst to support us as we grow. The analyst will play an important role on our team, contributing to execution of on-going projects, supporting new business development, and helping to strengthen the institutional foundations of our start-up company.

 

We are looking for someone with interest (and ideally, experience) in digital payments and financial inclusion but more importantly, with dedication and motivation to delivering high-quality work that helps us achieve our mission. The position for now is on a contract basis, but our intention is to transition this role into a full-time position within the year. The position is in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Responsibilities

The analyst’s responsibilities will include:

  • Project execution: Support implementation of our existing engagements as a junior or mid-level consultant, with tasks including:

    • Conducting qualitative research and data analysis

    • Contributing to deliverables, including drafting reports and preparing presentations

    • Ensuring effective project management and coordination with various project stakeholders

  • Business development: Carry out activities to help generate new business and strengthen the Paysys Global brand, with tasks including:

    • Outreach to potential new partners and clients

    • Development of company marketing material

    • Building of Paysys Global’s presence in relevant forums and media channels

  • Thought leadership: Contribute to development of thought leadership pieces on topics related to digital payments and financial inclusion, such as blog posts and participation in industry events

  • Company development: Support the company’s administrative functions, including contracting and accounting

 

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate has the following characteristics and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree (strongly preferred) in a relevant field, including business administration, finance, economics, international relations, information and communications technology

  • Interest in and ideally experience with digital financial services / digital payments and financial inclusion

  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills; we need someone who can quickly and accurately synthesize information and support in developing reports and other deliverables

  • Ability to use PowerPoint effectively, with a keen eye for graphic design and developing visually compelling stories and presentations 

  • Ability to use Excel effectively, with strong grasp on functions related to data management and analysis

  • Strong appetite for learning, self-motivated, takes initiative, and willing to do what it takes to get the job done

  • Interested in working with a start-up company, which is exciting and creates lots of opportunity, but also requires creativity, flexibility, and self-discipline

  • Strong inter-personal communication skills and ability to work well and flexibly in a team environment

  • Comfortable working closely but at times remotely with a small team

  • Is available for international travel

  • Is available to start immediately
